Steve Projan has over 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in anti‑infective drug discovery, antibiotic resistance, and bacterial virulence. He served as Senior Vice President of R&D at MedImmune—where he integrated infectious‑disease and vaccine research—and held leadership roles as Global Head of Infectious Diseases at the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research and Vice President of Biological Technologies at Pfizer. He currently serves on the Evaxion Board of Directors and as a consultant at Beat the Reaper, LLC, applying strategic insight to tackle antibiotic resistance and guide the development of next‑generation therapies.
